Zachary D. Blanks, 27, of County Line Road, Concord, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at U.V.A. Hospital.

Born in Farmville, November 3, 1988, he was a son of Regina Goggin Thomas of Concord and Gerald Duane Blanks and wife, Annette of Lynchburg. Zach was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Cody Blanks and Jacob Randall Thomas both of Concord; two sisters, Olivia Glenn Blanks of Richmond, and Amber Marie Blanks of Las Vegas, NV; maternal grandparents, Alvin Kenneth Goggin and wife, Eileen; paternal grandfather, Gerald Blanks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew.

A Funeral Service will be held 4 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. Robert Phillips II, Rev. L.W. Adams and Rev. Donald Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Other times the family will be receiving at the home of his mother.
