Willie Bell "Granny" Moses, 97, of Appomattox, died on August 6, 2011 at Gretna Health and Rehabilitation Center. Willie was born on April 30, 1914 in Appomattox County. She was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Moses and Elsie Kate Cheatham Moses.

Willie is survived by one daughter-in-law, Mary Moses Hicks and husband, Harold of Gretna; two grandsons, Wayne Moses of Gretna and Douglas Moses of Raleigh, NC; one great-granddaughter, Robin Crawley and husband, Wayne of Gretna; two great-great-grandsons, Tyler and Trey Crawley of Gretna; one brother, Carl Moses of Appomattox; one nephew, Ralph Moses of Chesapeake; and one niece, Faye Moore of Norfolk. She was predeceased by one son, Sherman Moses.

Willie was a member of Central Baptist Church in Appomattox and attended Spring Road Baptist Church in Hurt for over thirty years.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9 2011 at Robinson Funeral Home in Appomattox with Rev Brian Faison. Burial will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
