William Jackson (Billy) Trent, III, 66, of Police Tower Rd., Appomattox, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine Notestein Trent.
Born in Dearborn, Michigan, on May 2, 1944, he was the son of the late William Jackson Trent, Jr. and Tanna Montgomery Trent. Billy was a retired pipeline welder.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, William J. (Buck) Trent, IV of Rustburg and Charles Edward (Chuck) Trent of Appomattox; a step-daughter, Jessica Mason and husband, Edward of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Daniel Curtis Trent, Mary Beth Trent, Tanna Nora Trent, Autumn Evelyn Trent, and Hunter Mason; and his constant companion, Rambo.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, July 23, 2010, at Robinson Funeral Home with burial following in the Trent Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and other times at the residence.
