Obituary

Appomattox: William "Bill" Thomas Hodges, 68, of Rt.1 died Sunday, December 11, 2005. He was the husband of Betty Baldwin Hodges.
Born in Appomattox County, May 22, 1937, he was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson Hodges and Ruby Mae Hodges Hodges. Bill was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a member of the choir. He was employed by Appomattox Farm and Home.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William Kent and Joan Hodges and Tony Darrell and Sharon Hodges all of Appomattox; a daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Jon Couch of Midlothian; a brother, Henry Lawrence Hodges and his wife, Ann of Pamplin; four sisters, Carrie Morris of Richmond, Elizabeth Mobley and her husband, Perry of Appomattox, Shirley Garrett and her husband, David and Ann Phillips and her husband, David all of Evergreen and eight grandchildren, Chad Hodges, Brandon Hodges, Cory Hodges, Andrea Hodges, Kristen Baker, Rachel Baxter, James Baxter, and Alex Couch.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 14, 2005 in Evergreen Baptist Church by the Dr. Chris King and the Rev. Robert Wilson. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today at Evergreen Baptist Church from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
