Appomattox: William Nathaniel (Bill) Terry, 85, of 155 North Ave., went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 23, 2006.
Born in Pamplin, June 4, 1921, he was a son of the late Adrian Terry and Grace Pearl Price Terry. Bill was twice married his first wife of 48 years was the late Fannie Ferguson Terry and his second wife of 17 years is Nancy L. Mayberry Terry. He was a member of Bethel Bible Church and a retired carpenter. After God and his family his loves were his guitar, gospel music and his pets.
In addition to his wife, Nancy he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. and Cindy Terry of San Antonio, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis T. and Rick Mangold of Austin, TX and Sue T. and Larry Lawhorne of Concord; a step-daughter, Debbie Dudley of Appomattox; five grandchildren, one of whom lives in VA, Brandy Webb Goff; six great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren; a special nephew, Gerald W. Terry and his wife, Vicki of Cumberland and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eston M. Terry and A. Booker Terry and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Wednesday, July 26, at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor Orville (Bunny) Gregory with burial following in Pamplin Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-9 pm and at other times the wife will receive friends at the residence and the children may be contacted at the Super 8 Motel in Appomattox.
