Charlotte County: William Franklin Jennings, Sr., 70, of Red House, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005. He was the husband of Helen Snow Jennings.
Born in Cody, October 13, 1934, he was the son of the late George Robert and Addie Florence Rowland Jennings. Mr. Jennings was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World Lodge #71 and the Red House Volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 37 years of dedicated service.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Captain William Franklin Jennings, Jr. and Katie of Missouri; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl J. and Joseph Servis of Appomattox, Crystal J. and Bret Ramsey of Charlotte Court House, and Carrie J. and John Weatherford of Lynchburg; and seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Ilyana, and Mariska Servis, Caroline and Emily Ramsey, and Langston and Julia Jennings and two sisters, Ruby Staton of Appomattox and Ruth Ann Mullins of Red House.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Providence Baptist Church by the Rev. Anthony Reeves. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #16.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 – 7:30 PM.
