William Charlie "Billy" Perrow passed away peacefully at his home in Spout Spring, Va. on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at the age of 70. Born on Friday, December 5, 1947 in Danville, Va.; he was the son of the late Flossie "Bette" Finney and William Woodrow "Ted" Perrow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Perrow Austin and brother-in-law, David Jonathan Austin.

He is survived by his nephews, Jonathan William Austin and wife, Janice Earlene Austin and their sons, Joshua and Jordan; and Nathan David Austin and his daughter, Madison. Billy's extended family includes, Brenda Ferguson Gowin and her two daughters, Lori Gowin and Stacey Collier and her husband, Rene Collier and their daughter, Zoey Wren Collier who adored her "PB".

Billy received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI), which is now Virginia Tech, in June 1970 and his Masters from VPI in May 1977. Billy began his 41 year career in Appomattox County Public Schools in March 1970; became Transportation Supervisor in July 1980; and the first Director of Business for the school division in August 1994 where he remained until his retirement in February, 2011.

Billy served as Treasurer of the Appomattox Chapter of the Woodmen of the World for 38 years and as Treasurer of the Appomattox FFA Alumni Association for 40 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2108, at Robinson Funeral Home, 667 Court Street, Appomattox, Va., officiated by the Rev. Dennis Martin. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
