William Charles Bonnewitz, 79, of Promise Land Road, Appomattox died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia Anne Miller Bonnewitz.

Born in Neptune, New Jersey, on November 19, 1941, he was a son of the late Helen Rue Bonnewitz and William Charles Bonnewitz. He was a US Army veteran and retired from William C. Bonnewitz Ceramic Tile.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Bonnewitz (Kristine Fox) of Union Beach, N.J. and William R. "Billy" Bonnewitz (Jeanine Barret) of Monroe, N.J.; step-children, Richard Budd (Bobbie Jo) of Blue Ridge, Ga., Tricia Mansfield (Greg Foster) of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., Don Pierro (Christine) of Emerson, N.J., Jacqueline Pierro of Garfield, N.J., and Michael Pierro (Diana) of Westwood, N. J.; a sister, Dorothy Wilson of Old Bridge, N.J.; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church by Father Jim Gallagher. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Old Tennent Church Cemetery, Manalapan, NJ.
