William A. Tolbert, Jr.
William Anderson "Bill" Tolbert, Jr., 52, of Niki Lane, Pamplin, died Wednesday morning, May 14, 2008, in the Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Farmville, August 2, 1955, he was a son of William Anderson "Bill" Tolbert, Sr. of Pamplin and the late Liddy Catherine Justice Tolbert. He was a member of Elon Baptist Church, retired after 33 years as a Transportation Operator 2 with the VA Department of Transportation and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son Nicholas Skyler Tolbert of Gladys; three brothers, Joseph Tolbert, Pamplin, Kenneth Tolbert and his wife, Becky, of Appomattox, and Gary Tolbert and his wife, Sandra, of Pamplin; several nieces and nephews, Cathy King and her husband, Doug, Valerie Tolbert, Mary Lou Jamerson and her husband Kendall, Michael Tolbert, Thomas Tolbert, Kendal Tolbert, Gary Tolbert, Jr. and Teresa Tolbert; great nephews, Jonathan, Blake Jacob and Christopher.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Tolbert.
A graveside funeral service was held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 19, 2008 in Pamplin Community Cemetery by the Rev. Steve Tyree.
