Wendy Marie Franklin, 34, of Lynchburg, died Monday, September 25, 2006 at her residence after a prolonged battle with lupus.
Born in Lynchburg, September 11, 1972, she was a daughter of Robert Cary Franklin and his wife, Martha and Donna Mitchell Terry and her husband, Bill all of Rustburg. Wendy was a graduate of Rustburg High School.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her beloved daughter, Nikki Franklin Parr, the apple of her mother's eye, of Charlottesville; three brothers, Robert Davis Franklin and his wife, Janice of Concord, Johnathan Edward Franklin and his fiancée, Sarah Templeton, and Jeremy Lee Franklin and his wife, Angela all of Rustburg; maternal grandparents, Louise R. Mitchell of Lynchburg and Walter and Margaret Mitchell of Rustburg and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edward D. and Nancy W. Franklin.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, September 28, 2006 in Fort Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Michael W. Brown.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Wednesday from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the homes of Donna and Bill Terry, 1754 Sunnymeade Rd., Rustburg and Robert and Martha Franklin, 3097 Village Hwy, Rustburg.
