Wayne Lee Wells, 67, of Gladstone, died Friday, July 12, 2013. He was born on June 12, 1946, in Lynchburg, VA, a son of the late Royal W. and Louise Phelps Wells.
Wayne was a member of Mount Comfort United Methodist Church and a retired installation foreman with Sentry Equipment Erectors Inc. of Forest. He loved people, camping and the outdoors.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Wells Terry and her husband George of Lynchburg; a granddaughter, Tara Leigh Howard and Billy; a grandson, Nicholas McFadden and Robin; a great grandson, Waylon Lee Howard who made the last two years the best of his life; three sisters including his loving and devoted twin sister, Wanda Powell and her husband Maynard of Madison Heights, Daphine Moore and her husband Lewis Edward of Appomattox and Loretta Drinkard and her husband E. B. of Madison Heights; a brother, Royal W. (Buddy) Wells, Jr. and his wife Dale of Appomattox; a special friend who he considered a brother, Adam Vinoskey and the late Carole Vinoskey who he considered a sister; two step-sons; 10 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Jerry Booker for his kindness and dedicated support to Wayne's family.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Sunday, July 14, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 in Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church by the Rev. Larry Mann with burial following in the church cemetery.
