Obituary

William Frank Moore, 82, of County Line Rd., Appomattox, went to be with the Lord, Monday, January 26, 2009 in Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Virginia Jones Moore for 61 years.
Born in Appomattox County, April 26, 1926, he was a son of the late Jesse Melvin and Nannie Jennings Moore. Frank was president of W. F. Moore, Inc. Hauling and Construction until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the County Line Hunt Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, William Kenneth (Billy) Moore and wife, Peggy, Margaret M. Scruggs and her husband, L. A, and Frank Wayne Moore all of Appomattox; six grandchildren, Alan Scruggs and wife, Anne, Tracey S. Carter and husband, Alan, Kenneth Moore, Robert Moore and fiancée Ashley, Matt Moore, Angela Moore; six great grandchildren, Jessie and Josie Scruggs, Hunter and Tanner Carter, Waylon Hall and Alex Moore; four brothers, J. Lyle Moore, M. Dallas Moore and wife, Bethel, and Bobby E. Moore and wife, Pat all of Concord, and Russell W. Moore and wife, Alice of Appomattox; and a sister, Helen M. Gaulden of Concord.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie L. Moore.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Kreidel and the Rev. David Camden. Burial will follow in Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence and one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home. Due to the chance of bad weather the family will be at the residence Tuesday night instead of the funeral home.
