Vivian Ann Mullins Smith, 65, of Suburban Rd., Lynchburg died Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Halifax County, July 31, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Joshua Wharton and Ester Frances Reynolds Mullins. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Central Virginia Training Center.
She is survived by eight children, Judith Stinnett and Robert of Lynchburg, Donald Smith and Teresa, Lisa Johns and Roger, Glenn Smith and Dawn, all of Madison Heights, James Smith and Sherry of Rustburg, George Beverley and Wanda of Monroe, Joseph Beverley of Rustburg and Joshua Beverley and Robin of Louisa; one brother, Frank Edward Mullins of Colorado; two sisters, Ruth Wicks of Missouri and Bonnie Wright of Rustburg; 24 grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Kristy McKenna; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Andy Johns, a brother, Robert Wade Mullins, and her half brother, Emory Mullins.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 19, 2008, Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Kreidel with burial to follow in the Central Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
