Vivian Arlene (Peepsie) Brown, 80, of Forest died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Heritage Green.
Vivian was born in Lynchburg July 8, 1934 a daughter of the late Julia Stinson and Joseph Swithin Brown. Peepsie was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School and upon graduation went to work for Nationwide Insurance. She retired after 42 years of service in the Claims department having worked in Lynchburg, White Plains, NY and Memphis, TN. She was a member of Southview United Methodist Church/Christ Community Fellowship.
Vivian is survived by her brother, George C. Brown and his wife, Virginia of Rustburg; two sisters, Joyce B. Pillow and her husband, Willis of Forest and Judith B. Krause and her husband, Jack of Boynton, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a brother-in-law, Ronald T. Tucker of Lynchburg.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Brown, Cecil B. Snyder and Betty B. Tucker.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Spring Hill Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Phil Showers.
The family will receive friends at the home of Joyce and Willis Pillow, 105 Brockenbrough Place, Forest.
She requested memorials be made to Southview United Methodist Church, 1601 Cliff Street, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
