Virginia Smith Kress
Appomattox: Virginia Lee 'Jenny' Smith Kress, 47, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Grace Lodge Nursing Home.
Jenny was born in Baltimore, MD, on December 5, 1957 to William Lee Smith and Gladys Dixon Smith. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, William David Smith. Survivors include her beloved son, Timothy Michael Kress, one older sister, Diane Smith Stephens and her husband, Freddy, one younger brother, Grover Lee Smith and his wife, Brenda; one niece, Jessica Lee Smith and a devoted nephew, William 'Pat' Fielder and his wife, Barbara, and their three daughters.
Jenny graduated from Appomattox County High School, Class of 1976 and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Vera. She had numerous friends and was known to everyone for her kindness.
A Graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Dodson and the Rev. Mike Jamerson.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her father, William Lee Smith.
