Obituary
Virginia Gail Hankins Hawthorne, 65, of Spout Spring, died Friday December 19, 2008 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Jack W. Hawthorne.
Born in Freehold, NJ, March 19, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Kenneth O. Hankins and Dorothy McDonald Hankins. Virginia was a retired bus driver for Freehold Regional School District and a member of the Presbyterian Church in New Jersey.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son Jack William (Buck) Hawthorne, Jr.; a daughter, Deirdre H. McGilvery and husband, Sean; one granddaughter, Gracie McGilvery all of Spout Spring.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Hawthorne Family Cemetery at the residence by the Rev. Paul Kvasnicka Jr.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until noon prior to the funeral service.
