Obituary
Virginia Pearl Powell Dail, 89, of Snapps Mill Rd., died Sunday, December 18, 2016, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert Charles Dail.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on December 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Hilda McGuaid and Robert Ashley Powell. She retired from the Newport News Ship Yard as a welder and was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by three daughters, Dee Hickman, Phylis Marie Pickral both of Newport News, and Elizabeth Pickral of Spout Spring; two sons, Robert Wayne Pickral and Oscar Perry Pickral, Jr. both of Glouchester; four grandchildren, Amy Burnett, Robin Pickral, Angela Wampler, and Anette Sasser; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Liberty Cemetery.
