Virginia (Polly) Coleman Inge, 88, of Lynchburg died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born in Appomattox County, Va., on February 12, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Mary Martin and Royal Judson Coleman. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Samuel William Inge; four brothers, Thomas Coleman, Martin Coleman, Harwood Coleman, and Ralph Coleman; and three sisters, Elizabeth Reynolds, Gladys Coleman, and Alice Martin.

Polly was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Inge Wolanski (Gene) of Lynchburg and two sons, Dwight Inge (Linda) of Evington and David Inge (Sharon) of Lynchburg. She was "Nan" to seven dear grandchildren, Christopher Inge (Kelcey), Geoffrey Wolanski (Jaime), Brian Wolanski (Emily), Brandon Inge (Shani), Jason Inge (Jessica), Ann Wolanski Williams (Eddie), and Lisa Lanning (Corey) and seven precious great-grandsons, Sam, Coleman, Tyler and Chase Inge, Owen and Walker Williams, and Barrett Wolanski. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth E. and Dot Coleman of Appomattox and two sisters-in-law, Cleo Coleman and Betsy Lee Coleman both of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Larry Mann and the Rev. Ron Davidson. Burial will follow in Rebecca Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Friday, May 23, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
