Virginia Almond Campbell, 92, of Rugby Road, Lynchburg and formerly Appomattox, died Thursday morning September 9, 2015 at Avante of Lynchburg. She was the widow of Guy Wilmer Campbell.
Virginia was born August 6, 1923 a daughter of the late Cassie Hendricks Almond and John Thomas Almond. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Cassie C. Presnell of Prospect; seven grandchildren, Kandy Elmore, Kathy Driskill, Karyen Wickline, Michael Driskill, Robert Eagle, Sandra Bohannon Angus and John Brent Campbell and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Campbell, two daughters, Doris C. Hendricks and Hazel C. Bohannon and a grandson, Barry Bohannon.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday September 12, 2015 at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Paul D. Kvasnicka and the Rev. Robert E. Lee. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1pm.
