Obituary

Virginia Elvira Wooldridge Brannan, 81, formerly of Appomattox died Friday, March 23, 2007 at Fairmont Crossing Nursing Home in Amherst. She was the wife of the late George Pritchard Brannan.
Born in Appomattox County, April 16, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Travis Taylor and Inice Maude Pugh Wooldridge. Virginia was a member of Appomattox Court House Presbyterian Church and was the owner and operator with her husband of Richwood Store and Service Station.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Valeria B. and Frank Breault of Dillwyn and Georgie B. and Ken Shufran of Clifford; a sister, Marvis W. Ferguson of Lynchburg; a granddaughter, Mary Virginia Breault of Harrisonburg; nieces, Judy Branham and husband, Kenneth of Monroe and Jane Merricks and husband, Edward of Altavista; five great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Marvin Busie and the Rev. Michael Fitzgerald. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6-7:30 pm.
