Obituary
Vergie Hodges White, 93, of Rustburg died Thursday, July 9, 2009 in The Carrington. She was the wife of the late Julian Thomas White.
Born in Charlotte County, September 22, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Leecie Garrett Hodges. Mrs. White was a member of Clearview Baptist Church where she had been a member of the church choir.
She is survived by three children, Jacquelyn Grishaw of Red House, Sherry Pugh and husband, Cliff of Lynchburg, and David Warren White and wife, Irene of Rustburg; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Julian Harold White.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Robinson Funeral Home by Dr. Wayne Greene with burial following in Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Jackie, 1291 Hancock Rd., Red House.
