Obituary

Appomattox: Vera Page Pugh, 92, of Rt. 1, died Thursday, January 12, 2006 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Appomattox County, September 6, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Baxter and Grace Coleman Page. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, retired from Amelia Dress Company, and worked for many years for A. J. Skate World.
She is survived by three children, Clifford Pugh and his wife, Sherry of Lynchburg, Brenda Kidd and her husband, Junior of Wingina, and Joann Burgess and her husband, Harold of Lynchburg; three sisters, Mary P. Deaner of Appomattox, Gladys Carson of Farmville, and Vernell Bellon of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Ray Page of Appomattox and Charlie Page, Jr. of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren, Joanie Simpson, Neal Pugh, Markas Pugh, and Tansey Binder; four great grandchildren, Chris Pugh, Slade Simpson, Haley Pugh, and Katelyn Pugh and a special caregiver, Louise Thompson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wayne Pugh; three sisters, Agnes Wilkerson, Susie Carter, and Irene Mays; and two brothers, Lathan Page and Christian Page.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Whorley with burial following in Liberty Cemetery.
Vera did not wish to have a visitation at the funeral home, therefore the family will receive friends at her residence.
