Obituary
Troy Hancel Blazer, 70, of Red House Rd., Appomattox, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Margaret Ann Wooldridge Blazer.
Born in Blount County, Tenn., on June 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Jesse Arthur Blazer and Rosa Mae Moore Blazer. Troy was a member of Central Baptist Church and a retired bulk plant supervisor for Lynchburg Oil Company/PMI. Troy greatly loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three sons, Richard Allen Blazer and wife, Karen of Buckingham, Michael Troy Blazer, and Thomas Wade Blazer and wife, Cammy all of Appomattox; one daughter, Donna Blazer of Powhatan; two sisters, Inez Fay Martin of Gulf Breeze, FL and Jean B. Martin and husband, Horace of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and dear close friend, Doris Bryant.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Lee Blazer.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 13, 2010, in Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. Earnie Lucas.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7-8:30 pm. and other times at the home of his son, Thomas Blazer, 310 Lee Grant Ave., Appomattox.
