Treva Gibbons Gordon Elder, 88, of Paradise Rd., Concord, died Monday, December 22, 2014 in Avanté. Twice married she was the wife of the late Raymond Elder and David Lowell Gordon.

Born in Salem, Ohio, on January 5, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Ethel Mary Toole and James Brinton Gibbons. She was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church where she served in the nursery and was a member of the Ladies Fellowship, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Appomattox Chapter #10.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Elder and Troy Lee Roope of Concord; her grandson, William Ray Roope, a sister, Ruth Gibbons Lyberger, Alliance, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
Treva was preceded in death by a son, James Lowell Gordon, an infant son, Baby Boy Gordon; eight brothers, Eldon, Wilson, Ralph, Donald, Bruce, Dale, Raymond and Gordon Gibbons.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday December 27, 2014 at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Mark Grooms. Burial will follow at 3pm in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Naruna. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
