Timothy John Van Nieuwenhuise

Timothy John Van Nieuwenhuise, 71, of Appomattox, passed away, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Shellie Semanov Van Nieuwenhuise.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 27, 1954, he was the son of the late LuVerne Emmett Van Nieuwenhuise and Margaret Mary Kessler Van Nieuwenhuise.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Donald Spencer Van Nieuwenhuise and Brett Joseph Van Nieuwenhuise; one sister-in-law, Giovanna DeCassio Van Nieuwenhuise; several nieces and nephews; loving friends, Teresa Brogden, Yvonne Franklin, Glenn and Margaretta Hannon, and Susan Kennedy; and his cherished dogs, Paco and Max.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
