Timothy Douglas Irby, 21, of Appomattox and formerly of Gladys, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on August 2, 1999, he was the son of Timothy Eugene Irby (Jennifer) of Gladys and Rachel Fincham Porterfield of Altavista. He was a technician for Kidd's Restoration Services, Lynchburg. "Lil Tim" loved fast cars, trucks, and ATV's; they put a smile on his face. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, and ammo. When it came to friends and family he was always there.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life, Jordan Moore and her parents, Darrell and Nita Moore of Appomattox; a brother, Shane Wesley Porterfield; two sisters, Ruby Lily Irby, and Carrington M. Irby; a special nephew, Wesley; and his grandmother, Cathy Fincham of Lynchburg.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde "Junior" Fincham and Paul and Geneva Irby.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021, in the Irby Family Cemetery, 6541 Epsons Road, Gladys.
