Thomas William Thorne

Thomas William Thorne, 68, of Appomattox, VA, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Kathryn Stanton Thorne.

Born in New York, NY, on March 23, 1957, he was the son of the late Ruth Harse Thorne and Charles Thorne. Thomas was an engineer and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30.

He is survived by one brother, James “Jim” Thorne and friend, Marjorie Thorne both of Appomattox; one cousin and caretaker, Allen Goin, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
