Thomas O. Davidson

Appomattox: Thomas Osborne "Tom" Davidson, 86, of 1044 Buck Creek Rd., died Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2007 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Virginia Bondurant Davidson.
Born in Appomattox Co., March 8, 1921, he was a son of the late Jesse Osborne and Annie Thornhill Davidson. Tom was a dedicated member of Hebron Baptist Church where he served in various capacities including the Choir, Sunday School Teacher and was a Lifetime Deacon. He was a farmer and a retired machinist with B & W.
He is survived by four children; Edward Osborne Davidson and his wife, Deidra, Statesville, NC, Rebecca "Becky" D. Rankin and her husband, Robert, Appomattox, Mary Elizabeth D. Thomas and her husband Fred C., Jr, Lynchburg and Judson Crawford Davidson and his wife, Sherry, Appomattox; nine grandchildren, Destiny, DeAnna, Wendy, Jesse, Kate, T.C., Megan, Aaron and Sydnie; two great-grandchildren, Lillian and Addison; three sisters, Elizabeth D. Harrison, Appomattox, Mary D. Barrell, Harrisonburg and Lily Bibb D. Haley, Winchester; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Mathews, Concord and Charlie Judy, Daleville.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Eleanor D. Roach, Katherine D. Judy and Annie D. Mathews.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Hebron Baptist Church, 7533 Stonewall Rd., by the Rev. Tom Walker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Friday, in the Fellowship Hall of Hebron Baptist Church and other times at his residence.
