Thomas LeRoy Mayberry, 70, of Appomattox passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Lynchburg on October 8, 1952, he was the son of the late William Clyde Mayberry and Mary Elizabeth Mann. Thomas's first trade was auto body repair. He worked as an auto body technician for 30 years, a number of those years working alongside Mark Thompson and Leroy Pollard, Jr. Thomas was then employed by Kroger in the meat department. He retired from Kroger as a butcher after 15 years of service.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Nelson Mayberry; one grandson, Tristan Nathaniel Mayberry; three brothers and their children, Ernest Pat Mayberry, Sr. (Mary Ann, Ernest, Jr., and Jennifer), William Ray "Boodie" Mayberry and wife, Katie (Margie, Tina, Olivia and Travis), and Gene Mayberry and wife, Linda (Angie and Annie); Numerous great nieces and nephews.
