Thomas Leon Davis, Sr., 86, of Franciso Road, Farmville, died Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Southside Hospital. He was the loving husband of Joyce Lee Cummings Davis for 67 wonderful years.

Born in Bladen County, N. C. on July 20, 1932, he was a son of the late Betty Ruth Noble and Tillman Davis. He was a member of Glory Baptist Church, Appomattox and retired from Safeway Incorporated.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five children, Beverly D, Bernacchio, Thomas L. Davis, Jr. and husband, Jim McDonald, Paula D. Sand, Alice D. Carter and husband, Greg, and Tasha L. Davis; a brother, Craven O. Davis; a sister, Betty D. Redding and husband, Stanley; six grandchildren, Debby, Casidy, Randy, George, Jennifer, and Tyler; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Davis and two sons-in-law, Michael Sand and Jerry Bernacchio.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Glory Baptist Church by the Rev. Chris Brooks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox.
