Thelma Mae Harris Gunter, 94, of Mockingbird Lane, Gladstone, died Thursday, January 30, 2019 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Aubrey Nathaniel Gunter.

Born in Lynchburg, September 22, 1924. Thelma was a member of Gladstone Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by six sons, Bobby Gunter, Otis Gunter and wife, Freda both of Gladstone, Freddy Gunter of Appomattox, Wayne Gunter of Brookneal, Stanley Gunter and wife, Sheri, and Kenny Gunter both of Gladstone; two daughters, Georgia Kitchen of Dillwyn and Wanda Campbell and husband, Clyde of Amherst; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Veronica Gunter, and Angie G. Bernard.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the Gunter Family Cemetery, with Rev. Chris Brooks and Rev. John Muth officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Robinson Funeral Home.
