Thaddeus R. Zimmerman, 79, of Oakleigh Avenue, Appomattox, died Saturday, August 17, 2019. He was the husband of the late Michele Erickson Zimmerman.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Irene Adams and Thomas Zimmerman. Thaddeus was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Catherine Zimmerman-Furney and husband, Daniel of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, James, and Matthew Zimmerman-Lanigan, Felicia, Michele, and Michael Zimmerman; five great-grandchildren, Carley, Saphina, Mekenzie, Mason, and Mark.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jim Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
