Terry Lee Cook, 67, of Pughs Drive, Lynchburg, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born in Banner Elk, N.C., on February 16, 1952, he was a son of Linnie Cook and the late Mary Peters Cook. For 43 years, Terry served as the assistant pastor at Clearview Baptist Church and for many years he shared the gospel as a radio host for WTTX.

He is survived by his father, Linnie Cook of Lynchburg; four brothers and sisters and their spouses, Carolyn and Bobby Wade, Robert and Kim Cook, Ricky and Vonda Cook all of Lynchburg; and Debbie and Bo Perry of Rustburg; five nieces and nephews, Melanie and Jeff Welsh, Robert Cook, Jr., Chris Cook, Lindsey Meadows, Matt and Brittany Cook; and four great-nieces and nephews, Brooklyn Welsh, Braden Welsh, Lidia Cook, and Berkley McFadden.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Clearview Baptist Church by Pastor Zane Kramer, Pastor Larry Fitzgerald, and Pastor Jeff Worley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Clearview Baptist Church from 5:30 until 8 p.m. and other times at the residence.
