Obituary
Teresa Cotenia Woods, of Appomattox, departed this life, Thursday, September 24, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late George Willie and Theresa Ernestine Grant Woods. Teresa was a Jehovah's Witness. She was a graduate of Norfolk State University with a BA in education and taught in the Appomattox County school system for her entire teaching career.
Teresa leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Deborah Woods of Clinton, Maryland; a brother, George Woods (Tracey) of Portsmouth; two aunts, Mattie G. Osborne of Washington D.C. and Christine Ott of Chicago, Illinois; two nephews, Cardell H. Montague and Isaiah Woods; and a niece, Joycelyn Woods.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 3, 2009, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1291 Bear Creek Road, Rustburg, with Lester Miller officiating, all are welcome to attend. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Appomattox.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 – 9:00 PM tonight (Friday) at Robinson Funeral Home.
