Teresa Ann Kerr Cyrus, 56, of Richwood Estates Road, Appomattox, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She was the wife of Paul Leroy "Duck" Cyrus, Jr.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on June 5, 1962, she was a daughter of Shirley Ann Nash Kerr of Spout Spring and the late Jackie Myers Kerr. Teresa was a member of House of Prayer.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by five daughters, Tiffany Vassar of Concord, Amanda Daniel of Appomattox, Shana Sperry of Wilmington, N.C., Heather Johnson and fiancé, Clint Clements; and Hailey Johnson all of Appomattox; two step-children, Christy Cyrus and Stacey Cyrus both of Appomattox; two sisters, Dawn Garrett of Appomattox and Kristie Mangum and husband, Robert of Providence Forge, Va.; a brother, Jackie Dale Kerr of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Michael and Alyssa Daniel, Shayne and Landon Johnson, and Tripp Sperry; two step-grandchildren, Colby Taylor and Camden Cyrus; aunts and uncles, James and Shirley Arnold, Bennie and Olivia Kerr, and James Kerr; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019, at New Beginning Ministry by Pastor Jerry Childress and Pastor Kathy Seay. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service at the church and other times at the residence.
