Ted Giles Godsey, 79, of Rose Lane, Appomattox, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Lynchburg, January 27, 1938, he was a son of the late Marion Giles and Grover (Pat) Cleveland Godsey. Ted was a member of Appomattox Court House Presbyterian where he sang in the choir, was Sunday school treasurer and served as greeter.

He is survived by one brother, Gene Leo Godsey of Richmond; one niece, Rissie Godsey; one nephew, Randy Godsey; numerous cousins; special friends, DeWitt Goin and Angela Trent.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Friday, August 18, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home with Gene Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm, Thursday, August 17, 2017.
