Sylvia Diana Lawhorn, 78, of Appomattox, departed this life on Thursday, June 3, 2010.
Born in Gloucester, England on January 8, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Kathleen Clifford Hall. Sylvia was a registered nurse, secretary for Bob's Garage & Auto Parts, and a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Robert L. Lawhorn; her children, Elizabeth L. Allen and her husband, Stanley of Prospect, Robert Lawhorn, Jr., and wife, Gwen of Evergreen, and Cynthia D. Lawhorn of Jacksonville, NC; a sister, Karen Dillon of Cheltenham, England; a sister-in-law, Jean Hall of Southsea, England; four grandsons, four granddaughters; three great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeuneé Cunningham. Burial will follow in Reedy Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Saturday from 5-7:00 pm and other times at the residence.
