Steven Dale Shelton, Sr., 61, of Red House, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Pamplin, VA, on March 20, 1951, he was a son of the late Russell McConie and Druscilla Wright Shelton. He was a member of Rocks Baptist Church and a heavy machine operator.
He is survived by a son, Stephen (Stevie) Dale Shelton, II of Pamplin; two daughters, Hope Shelton Lucado of Chase City and Mendie Jean Shelton of Red House; a sister, Frieda S. Marston and husband, Renneth of Red House; a brother, David L. Shelton of Hopewell; nine grandchildren; and a cousin, Jimmy Miller. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Shelton, Jr. and a brother, Ronnie Shelton.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
