Steven Bradley Franklin, 55, died on Saturday, July, 30, 2016, at his home in Chicago, Ill.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Barbara Hanes Franklin; his parents, Roy and Betty Franklin of Appomattox; four step-children; 10 step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Allen Austin; and two nephews, Aaron and his wife, Brittany, and Carter.
Steve was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Chicago, a graduate of Appomattox County High School, and US Navy Veteran.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to honor Steve at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 14, at Liberty Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 845, Appomattox, VA 24522.
