Obituary
Steven Brent Blackwell, 24, of Rt. 6, died Saturday, July 23, 2005.
Born December 5, 1980, in Lynchburg, VA. He is survived by his mother, Cathy Gowin Blanks, and her husband Aubrey, and his father, Charles Thomas Blackwell. Brent was a graduate of Appomattox County High School and received his HVAC certification at CVCC. He worked for Comfort Solution of Lynchburg as a HVAC service technician, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Brent was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying canoeing, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister Jill Lynn Blackwell; Maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Gowin; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Blackwell all of Appomattox; two uncles Ronnie W. Gowin of Appomattox, and Arthur Ray Blackwell of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Robinson Funeral Home, by the Rev. George Kreidel, with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, July 26, 2005 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM.
