Sidney (Sid) Charles Allen, Jr., 51, of Spirit Lane, Spout Spring, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at his residence. Sid was the husband of Vickie Daulton Allen.

Born in Rockville, Maryland, on September 13, 1960, he was a son of Dorothy Adcock Allen of New Canton, VA and the late Sidney Charles Allen, Sr. He was an avid fisherman, a Harley-Davidson biker, and employed by J & J Weatherization.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sons, Brandon Lee Allen and wife, Jaime of Concord and David Shane Allen of Spout Spring and special friend, Katie Orndorff; four grandchildren, Jaikel, Lucas, Lily, and Braydon Lee Allen; two brothers, Henry (Buddy) Allen and wife, Becky of Appomattox and Ricky Allen and wife, Winnie of Altavista; two sisters, Linda Allen Martin and husband, J. D. of Concord and Rosemarie Allen McGuire and husband, Clark of Appomattox; his mother and father-in-law, Alton and Gloria Daulton of Spout Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Allen Everly.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 13, 2012, at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 5:00 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Mark Grooms.
