Shirley Elnora Jamerson Seamster, 74, of Bowler Creek Road, Pamplin, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of Charlie Daniel (Dan) Seamster.
Born in Pamplin, VA, on January 18, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Cora Williams and Kester Winfred Jamerson. She was a member of Elon Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher. Shirley was a retired Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of Pamplin.
In addition to her husband Shirley is survived by a son, Timothy Wayne Seamster of Pamplin; a sister, Nancy Jamerson Weiland and her husband Luther of Lynchburg; a niece, Lisa W. Burbach and husband, Van: a great-niece, Kerri Gesford; a great-nephew, Micah Gesford; a brother-In-law, Doug Seamster and his wife, Ellen of Appomattox; and special friends, Eleanor Nash, Jeanie Carwile, and Irving & Peggy Crump. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Daniel Seamster.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30,2013 at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. John Campbell. A private burial will follow in Pamplin Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning one hour prior to the funeral service and other times at the residence.
