Obituary
Madison Heights: Shirley Davis Morris, 70, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in Virginia Baptist Hospital.
Born in Appomattox County, January 31, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John C. (Jack) Davis Sr. and Anne O'Brien Davis. Shirley was of the Methodist faith and retired from the Central Virginia Training Center and Amherst Family Physicians, Inc.
She is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn D. and Sonny Smith of Appomattox, Sarah D. and Earl S. Taylor of Lynchburg and Nancy D. and Robert O. (Bob) Godsey of Rustburg; nieces and nephews, Pam Smith Paulette, Brenda C. Martin, Beth Taylor Coleman, J.T. Carter, Chuck Taylor and David Godsey; and nine great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Kay Tuck and Monica Anne Morris; a brother, J. C. Davis, Jr. and a niece, Cindy Smith.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, December 8, 2006 in Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. James N. Williams.
The family will receive friends at the home of Carolyn and Sonny Smith, 163 Walnut Circle, Walton Place, Appomattox.
