Obituary
Shirley Hawkins Jennings, 76, formerly of Evergreen died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at WakeMed Cary Hospital in Cary, NC. She was the wife of the late Herbert Douglas Jennings.
Born in Campbell County, October 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Walter William Hawkins and Evelyn Willis Morris. Mrs. Jennings was a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Ned Jennings; two grandchildren, Alyssa Jennings and Joshua Jennings all of Raleigh, NC; a brother, William Morris Hawkins and his wife, Mary of Lynchburg and a sister, Barbara H. Dillon and her husband, Roy of Gladys.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Austin and a brother, W. C. Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Eugene Condrey with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the home of her sister, Barbara Dillon.
