Sherl Lynn Martin Almond, 49, of Carson Drive, Spout Spring, passed away peacefully Sunday morning December 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
Lynn was born in Lynchburg November 22, 1966 a daughter of Betty Steuart Martin Drinkard of Appomattox and the late Gene Martin. She was previously employed by Lynchburg Health and Rehab as a Registered Dietician and worked at Appomattox Health and Rehab for eight years as the Dietary Manager. She was a member of Heart of Worship Ministries and was an, advocate for Prosthetics Concepts.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother and step-father, Betty and Cliff Drinkard; her loving husband and best friend for 28 years, Malcolm Scott Almond; her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Jacob Scott Almond and Kasey of Spout Spring, a grandson and the joy of her life, Beau Almond; two sisters, Nita M. Moore and husband, Darrell of Appomattox and Robin Martin and Dan of Forest; a brother, Ben Martin and wife, Melinda of Thomasville, Ga. ; brother-in-law, Donnie Almond and his wife, Linda of Appomattox and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Rebecca Catherine (Becca) Almond.
A memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday December 9, 2015 at Liberty Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr Rusty Small and Kent Hancock.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Tuesday night December 8, 2015 and at other times at the residence of Scott Almond and family.
