Seth Jacob Rothgeb, 28, of Appomattox, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016. He was born in Lynchburg, Va., on July 31, 1988, the son of John Eric Rothgeb and Sharon Jackson Cottingham.
He enjoyed being a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Seth will be remembered for his strong faith and his love for his family and life.
He is survived by his father, John Eric Rothgeb and his wife, Brenda Coleman of Appomattox; his mother, Sharon Cottingham of Concord; two brothers, Justin Winslow Rothgeb and wife, Tori of Appomattox and Alex Wayne Rothgeb of Clarksville; two sisters, Ashton Nicole Cottingham of St. Stephens, SC and Ashley Dale Rothgeb of Appomattox; his grandmothers, Daphne W. Jackson and Eileen P. McCormick; nieces and nephews, Braylon, Ainsleigh, Ripkin, and Avery; aunts and uncles, Cindy and Ronnie Ranson of Appomattox, Mike and Nancy Jackson of Deltaville, James P. McLane of Vivian, La., and Joel G. and Lauren McCormick of Appomattox. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Paul Rothgeb and Rev. Tom Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Russell Cheatham. The interment will be held at 2 p.m. in the Coleman Family Cemetery, 1175 Coleman Mountain Road, Appomattox.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 7-8:30 p.m.
