Obituary

Appomattox: Sarah Ferguson Woody, 69, loving wife, mother, and grandmother died Thursday, April 6, 2006.
Born in Appomattox County, February 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Ryland and Eula Ayers Ferguson. Sarah was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence Jackson Woody; four children, Carolyn Franklin, Jackie Hensley and husband Ray, all of Appomattox, Lawrence Woody and wife Mary of Madison Heights, and Pansy King and husband Ronnie of Appomattox; six grandchildren, Jason Franklin, Samantha Goff, Stevie Hensley, Eric King, Tonya Woody all of Appomattox and Joey Woody of Madison Heights; nine great grandchildren, Austin Franklin, Cheyenne Goff, McKenna Goff, Karis Hensley, Susan Hensley, Walker Jackson Woody, Madison Woody, Alexis Woody and Trey Woody; a brother, Clyde (Tom Dooley) Ferguson and wife Pam of Appomattox; five sisters, Rena Litchford and husband Clyde, Joyce McCormick and husband Floyd all of Gladstone, Verna Wood, Nita Mann and husband Jackie, and Marie Hensley and husband Tommy all of Appomattox; four devoted friends, Jerry Franklin, Teresa Boyce, and Larry and Denise Bryant and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel M. Woody; granddaughter, Shana Franklin; and a brother, Frank W. Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Earnie Lucas with burial following in Reedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
