Sarah Comer Vaughan, 91, of Appomattox died on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Heritage Hall Brookneal. She was the wife of the late William Lloyd Vaughan, Sr.

Born in Green Bay, VA, on May 30, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Frank Comer and Edna Garland Comer. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Sarah worked with her husband, Lloyd at Appomattox Office Supply, Times Virginian and Farmville Herald.

She is survived by a son, William L. "Bill" Vaughan, Jr.; three grandchildren, Michael Vaughan, Tyler Vaughan, and Katie Vaughan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Susan C. Coleman.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Friday, January 10, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Dr. Rusty Small. A private burial will be held in Liberty Cemetery.
