Sarah Phelps Summers Robertson, 78, of Gladstone, died Monday, March 27, 2023. She was the wife of the late Charles "Skeeter" Robertson.

Born in Baltimore, MD, June 11, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Ercell Christian and Binford Phelps.  She was a member Mount Comfort United Methodist Church and active in the Appomattox Community being involved with Railroad Festival, the Appomattox Chamber of Commerce, Appomattox Historical Society and among many other organizations.  Sarah was the medical secretary at Appomattox Family Practice for many years.

She is survived by her son, Zane Summers and wife, Karla of Watkinsville, GA; three grandchildren, Danielle Bullock and husband, Al, Autumn Summers and Adrian Krummen; two great-grandchildren, Gracelynn and Charlotte; two step-daughters, Cathy Baldwin and husband, Buddy and Robin Hammer and husband, Jon; five step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Carson, Kendall, Mallory and Derek; and several step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Taylor Summers.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Mount Comfort United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Flood officiating.
