Sarah Eleanor Myers, 72, of Stage Coach Road, Concord, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019. She was the loving mom of Erica D. Marks and her husband, James "Yankee."

Born in Lynchburg, January 30, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Sarah Powell and Woodrow Wilson Mayberry.

She is survived by two sisters, Martha A. Perry of Concord, and Corlis G. Tice and husband, James of Altavista; three grandchildren, Eric D. Bryant and wife, Jamie, Sarah H. Grishaw and partner, Bobby, Richard "Will" Grishaw and partner, Sam; two great-grandchildren, Erabella Bryant, and Archer Grishaw; nieces and nephews, Monica C. Campbell and husband, Brad, Christopher S. Perry, Larry H. Grishaw, Jr., and Amber M. "Shell" Grishaw ; great-nieces and nephews, Kristopher "Kris" Campbell, Haley Grishaw, Aiden Grishaw, and Ryland Hoskins; numerous cousins; and two very special friends, Mary Raine Paxton, and Tanya Johnston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Myers.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at her residence.

The family will receive friends at the residence prior to the service.
